Missouri State at Delaware

Delaware has lost three straight, 42-3 at Virginia, 30-14 to Liberty and 33-30 at Middle Tennessee, and it is 0-2 in Conference USA. The Blue Hens were favored at Middle Tennessee last Tuesday and still lost. They have allowed at least 30 points in each of the three losses. Missouri State is 2-4, the same record as Delaware, and its defense ranks 23rd-worst in the FBS, allowing 30.5 points per game. The Bears score 22.2 per game (108th), while Delaware scores 22.8 (103rd). Delaware's pass defense allows 259.2 yards per game through the air, 14th-worst in the FBS, and Missouri State's passing offense gains 224.7 per game. Delaware's own passing offense is 29th at 271 yards per game, yet the team ranks 103rd in scoring, so the yardage hasn't turned into points. In its last four games, Missouri State lost by six to Marshall, by 10 at SMU, and by 21 at Western Kentucky, then beat Kennesaw State 24-21 last Wednesday. I'm backing the Bears tonight.
