Dequan Finn takes over as the starting quarterback at Miami, and that is good news for the Redhawks, who lost Brett Gabbert after he started all 14 games in 2024. Finn was limited to three games with Baylor last year, but he threw for more than 2,000 yards in each of the three previous years with Toledo. The Redhawks can utilize his experience as they return just one offensive starter, but running back Kenny Tracy is expected to return after tearing his ACL last season. Miami won eight of its previous nine games, covering the spread in six of them. The Redhawks are 5-1 ATS in their past six Thursday games, and they have gone UNDER in five of seven as underdogs.
