Marshall at Georgia

Georgia didn't win a national championship, so that qualifies as a disappointing season in Athens, although it played a brutal schedule. The Bulldogs will look to atone this season with a better running game and hopefully with a quarterback who can come close to replacing Carson Beck. Gunner Stockton will be that player after he filled in admirably for the injured Beck while rallying the Bulldogs to an SEC Championship win over Texas. He also passed for 234 yards in Georgia's Sugar Bowl loss to Notre Dame. Georgia won its first two games last year by a combined score of 82-6 over Clemson and Tennessee Tech. The Bulldogs have covered four of five August games. They have gone OVER five of six as favorites. Marshall comes off a 10-3 season, but unfortunately, only four starters return. The Thundering Herd has a new head coach, Tony Gibson, who has his work cut out after Marshall lost its starting quarterback, leading rusher, and most of its wide receivers to the transfer portal. Georgia has gone OVER in five of its six home games, and it has averaged 43.7 points in its opening games the past three years. Take Georgia and the OVER.
