The MAC Conference is certainly not known for defense, but each year a team seems to step above the rest and stand out. Last season Kent State finished ranked No. 20 in fewest yards allowed per game. That was quite an achievement, considering the pass-happy, wide-open nature of the conference. Bowling Green has risen far above those numbers, and currently ranks No. 6 of all FBS teams in fewest yards allowed, giving up just 15.1 points per game. The reason? They returned 10 starters on defense from a year ago. The Falcons have stepped it up even higher on defense over their last six games, allowing just 47 total points or just shy of 8 per contest. Kent State has scored a lot, but they have played mostly all the weak teams in the conference, and will likely struggle here. The Falcons defense has been great at home, leading to seven straight UNDERs here, and without a lot of firepower on offense, this one should stay UNDER the total.
