Iowa State's young QB Rocco Becht (3 TDs, 1 INT) has been decent and is supported by one of the best defenses in the Big 12. The Cyclones finished fourth nationally in yards allowed per game (285.6) in 2022 and have looked great again allowing 14.5 points per game after two contests. In a 30-9 rout of Northern Iowa, Iowa State forced two turnovers and held Northern Iowa to 3-of-15 on third down. Iowa State coach Matt Campbell is 23-13 ATS after a defeat and 29-14 ATS versus pass defenses that allow 58% or more completions. Ohio has played three quarterbacks in its first three games and doesn't have the offensive firepower to match up against this defense. Their three QBs have combined for five TDs and six interceptions, while the ground attack is averaging just 3.8 yards per carry. Iowa State has won all eight meetings between these teams, including a 43-10 beatdown a year ago with the edge in yards 463-233. Play Iowa State.
