Illinois at Northwestern

It's been a miserable season for Northwestern, which has a 1-10 record while averaging a measly 14.7 points. Now the Wildcats have to face Illinois, which allows just 13.1 points per game. The Fighting Illini will be in a bad mood after almost upsetting Michigan last week and they are 7-1-1 ATS their past nine games following a loss and they have covered seven of eight on the road. Northwestern lost 17-9 to Purdue and totaled just 78 yards passing with Cole Freeman finishing 9-for-20 and no touchdowns with an interception. Northwestern had won six meetings in a row until the Illini finally got their revenge last year in a 47-14 rout. Bret Bielema has turned the program around in his second year as coach of Illinois although it does come off three tough losses. Tommy DeVito threw for 178 yards against the Wolverines and Chase Brown ran for 140 yards on 29 carries with two TDs.
