Houston got some shocking news this week when starting quarterback D'Eriq King decided to sit out the rest of the season and redshirt. This comes after a gut-wrenching loss to Tulane on Thursday night. This line may be an over-reaction to that news. But, head coach Dana Holgorsen said he isn't giving up on the season and will start sophomore Clayton Tune to replace King. Tune has some experience as he threw for 795 yards and two touchdowns in five games last season. Tune was 21-of-32 for 230 yards with a TD and no interceptions against Army in the Armed Forces Bowl. North Texas comes off a 45-3 win over UTSA, but the Mean Green previously lost at SMU and California. North Texas is only 2-8 ATS its last 10 games and 4-9 ATS after winning by at least 20 points. There is an overreaction to King's departure, so play Houston.
