Dual-threat quarterback Haynes King and unbeaten Georgia Tech are good. But Duke is better. Not only do the Blue Devils have an elite offense, but they have an athletic, fast defensive front seven that can bother King and keep his running in check. Edge rusher Vincent Anthony Jr. has 6.5 sacks. Duke has held its last two opponents, California and Syracuse, to an average of 12 points while playing both of those games on the road. Now the Blue Devils are at home. Their quarterback, Darian Mensah, is one of the best in the country, throwing for 1,838 yards with 15 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Nate Sheppard is a good-looking freshman running back who has rushed for 447 yards and four touchdowns. He can set up Mensah going against a Georgia Tech defense that ranks 105th in stopping the run and has only two takeaways. Duke is averaging 42.6 points per game in its last three games—the Blue Devils rank 11th in passing and 21st in total offense. Georgia Tech just nipped Wake Forest, 30-29, in overtime as a 13.5-point favorite the last time it was on the road two games ago. Take Duke on the moneyline.
