Florida State at SMU

Florida State's 0-3 start is over. The Seminoles shut down California last week, 14-9. The defense has held the high-flying Memphis offense to 20 points and held Cal to 107 rushing yards (2.9 ypc) and 5-of-15 on third down. Florida State has won seven of its last eight road games. SMU has had three easy games and one tough one, an 18-15 loss at home to BYU. The offense had just 261 total yards in that loss, three turnovers, and was 3-of-16 on third down. Sophomore QB Kevin Jennings has stepped in replacing opening day starter Preston Stone. They also slipped by Nevada, 29-24, as a 28-point favorite.
