The Bulls are 19th in the AP Top 25, their highest ranking since 2017. Their only loss in six games is to second-ranked Miami. But do the Bulls deserve to be this high of a favorite against Florida Atlantic and its high-flying offense? Yes. Recall last Friday Night when South Florida was a short road underdog against North Texas and fell behind, 14-7. No problem as the Bulls scored four touchdowns in a row to blow out the Mean Green, 63-36. South Florida is going to be up for this matchup, too, since it's their homecoming game and they have an extra day of rest. The Bulls are thinking college football playoffs and want another blowout. They have the quarterback to achieve that in Byrum Brown, a top dual threat who has put up 1,803 yards from scrimmage and a combined 18 touchdowns passing and rushing. Florida Atlantic, 3-3, also has a fast-paced passing attack. Owls quarterback Caden Veltkamp leads the American Conference in completions, passing yards and passing touchdowns. South Florida practices against this type of offense. The Bulls lead the nation in turnovers created, with 16 takeaways so they will be ready for that quick tempo and all-out passing attack. Florida Atlantic's only road win and cover came against punchless Rice. The Owls lost their two other away games to Maryland, 39-7, and to Florida International, 38-28. South Florida has won and covered all three of its home games defeating Boise State 34-7, South Carolina State, 63-14, and Charlotte, 54-26. Take South Florida.
