Boston College at NC State

The Wolfpack is off to a big start, but were taken off their cloud last week against a very good Virginia Tech team. The Eagles had we handed a pretty embarrassing loss at home last week by the Fighting Irish. The Eagles are always a defensive bunch with this year being no exception, and bring in the nations No. 30 ranked defense in fewest yards allowed per game. State's Russell Wilson is putting up big numbers so far, but the Wolfpack defense is equally obliging, allowing a porous 27.3 points per game. Boston College is soaring on the road as a dog from 3.5-10, where they have cleared the cash window in eight of their last 10. NC State is having problems picking up the pieces off a double-digit loss at home, following with a 2-7 ATS mark in their next game. The Pack has not been a favorite of more than 2 points all season yet now they are laying nearly double-digtits. The Wolfpack has been dynamite as a dog, but not so potent as a chalk as they are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 as a favorite of 3.5-10. BC has gone 30-16 ATS in their last 46 games vs. top-level competition (teams at .750 or better). I like the Eagles to keep this one close.
