This is an obvious letdown spot for Texas after its huge win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry and the Longhorns were fortunate to get by a mediocre Kansas State squad the week before. Baylor did defeat Kansas State 37-34 last week for its third win in five games showing great improvement over its 1-11 season. Connor Martin kicked a 29-yard field goal in the final seconds to beat the Wildcats and Charlie Brewer threw for 296 yards on 30-of-44 passing for the Bears, which overcame 319 rushing yards by Kansas State. The Longhorns had a 45-24 lead after three quarters and then eventually held on as the Sooners scored 21 fourth-quarter points. Oklahoma gained 222 yards on the ground on 7.2 yards per carry and outyarded Texas 532-501. The road team has covered seven of the last nine meetings and Baylor is 5-2-1 ATS its last eight games following an ATS loss. Baylor is 4-1 ATS its last five meetings at Texas and has momentum on its side after its last-minute win last week while the Longhorns are in a potential flat spot in the schedule with a week off and then Oklahoma State coming up next. Take the points with Baylor.
