A pair of powerhouse SEC defenses clash in this one. Auburn was dominant on defense last season after bringing in DC Kevin Steele and they are against sixth in points allowed (13 points per game), #22 in rushing yards allowed, #20 in passing yards, #13 in total yards surrendered. Auburn is 18-7-2 UNDER against winning teams, plus 18-7-2 UNDER on natural grass. LSU's defense is #18 in total yards allowed, #26 in points allowed (18.8 ppg). They come off a strong defensive effort in a 17-16 win against Florida, part of a 16-5-2 run UNDER the total, including 18-7-1 UNDER in SEC contests. With the UNDER 12-5 when these rivals clash, look for a battle of field goals again, similar to last year's 18-13 Auburn victory. Defense reigns supreme in this one, to take the UNDER the total.
