Army used its usual running game to rack up 280 yards on 66 carries, but the Black Knights still came up short in double overtime, losing 30-27 as a 14-point favorite to Tarleton State. It's possible they were looking ahead to this matchup with Kansas State, but the Black Knights were outplayed by Texans QB Victor Gabalis, who was 16-of-30 passing for 152 yards and a touchdown. Four of their past six Saturday games have gone UNDER, and Army has stayed UNDER four straight following a loss. Army has gone UNDER four of five after yielding fewer than 170 yards passing its previous game. Kansas State escaped with a 38-35 win over North Dakota after losing to Iowa State in the season opener. Avery Johnson was 23 of 38 for 231 yards and a TD with no interceptions.
