Appalachian State at Texas State

These teams met last year and the game went UNDER by eight points in Appalachian State's 35-10 win. The Mountaineers blew out FCS Savannah State last week, but scored only 10 points at Georgia in their opener. The Mountaineers have allowed only 18 and 19 points in 2016 and 2015, respectively and return seven defensive starters. Texas State managed just three points in its loss at Colorado and now has gone UNDER eight games in a row dating to last season. The Bobcats averaged only 19 points per game last season and only scored 20 points against FCS Houston Baptist in this year's season opener. Damian Williams was 6-of-16 for only 95 yards with no touchdowns and an interceptions against Colorado, but the Texas State defense did hold the Buffaloes to just 2.2 yards per carry.
