Toronto is an expansion team. Despite that, the Tempo has one of the better starting backcourts in the WNBA with veterans Marina Mabrey and Brittney Sykes. Mabrey scored 27 points in Toronto's lone game this season. That ties Mabrey with Kelsey Plum for being the second-highest scorer in the league behind Indiana's Kelsey Mitchell. Toronto catches Seattle minus injured center Ezi Magbegor, who was the second leading shot blocker per game in the WNBA last season. Toronto has a soft defensive frontcourt made even more vulnerable with Isabelle Harrison out due to a hand injury and Temi Fagbenle listed as a game-time decision with a shoulder issue. So this sets up as a big scoring game for Seattle center Dominique Malonga. The second-year potential breakout star had 21 points against Golden State in the Storm's opening game.
