Washington at Atlanta

Washington nearly blew a nine-point lead with less than two minutes to play, but managed to get the win and cover over the Dream in Game 1 on Sunday. Elena Delle Donne exploded for 32 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, but it was clutch defense in the final seconds that sealed the win for the Mystics. It was the 11th win in the last 12 games for Washington and it beat Atlanta while shooting only 38.9 percent from the field although the Mystics were 11-of-26 from three-point range. The Dream shot 43.1 percent and Alex Bentley led four scorers in double figures with 19 points while Elizabeth Williams added 15 points and 14 rebounds. The Mystics have been the better shooting team this season with a .450 percentage compared to .426 for Atlanta. The Mystics have covered the spread eight of their last 10 games and they are 7-2-1 ATS the last 10 meetings. Washington took the Dream's best shot and pulled out a win in Game 1, so look for the Mystics to win and cover again.
