For various reasons, Seattle will be missing several of its players, including Ezi Magbegor, Awa Fam and Katie Lou Samuelson, for the first couple weeks of the season and it showed on Friday as the Storm lost 91-80 to Golden State. The Storm were lacking on the defensive side as the Valkyries hit 15 of 37 3-point tries. Seattle shot only 41 percent itself and missed 17 of 26 from beyond the arc. The Storm are just 5-16 ATS their past 21 games and 4-9 ATS their past 13 meetings with Connecticut. The Sun ran into a buzz saw as New York jumped out to a 66-37 halftime lead and won 106-75 while shooting 52 percent in their opener Seattle doesn't have the firepower or the depth to come close to that figure.
