Seattle at Atlanta

Atlanta hasn't taken the floor since the 4th of July, and they are mired in a five-game skid, the Dream's longest since 2024. The shooting slump underneath it hasn't been minor: sub-40 percent from the field in four of the five losses, scoring dipping into the high 70s after averaging triple digits in three of the four games before it started. Extra rest resets legs, not a broken jumper. Seattle, meanwhile, is the team that snapped Atlanta's confidence in the first place, running them off the floor 105-90 back on June 27 with Flau'jae Johnson going for 24. Johnson has been at it again lately, three 23-plus outings in her last five, and Dominique Malonga has turned into a legitimate problem in the paint at nearly 16 a night. The smart money has already found the road side too, tucked well past where the public traffic sits on the moneyline. Atlanta is still the better team, still the team that wins this outright more often than not, and a 6-3 home mark says as much. But a double-digit cushion is a lot of real estate for a team that cannot find its shot to make up in one sitting. Side with Seattle on the spread.
