San Antonio at Phoenix

It's hard to see the Phoenix Mercury putting a whole lot of energy into this game. The Mercury are locked into the #3 slot for the WNBA Western Conference playoffs. They also have an interesting game to close out the season in Los Angeles. LA is the team Phoenix will almost certainly open against in the first round of the playoffs, on the same floor. I think they may be looking to spend some energy there, as this game has no implications at all. Facing a Phoenix team that may be reducing minutes of key players such as Turasi and Griner will benefit the Stars. San Antonio may not be winning often, but they are 8-1 ATS following a loss. Phoenix has been horrible at home where they are a woeful 6-21-1 ATS in their last 28. I don't expect much defensive intensity from Phoenix here and thus a higher scoring game. San Antonio is 21-11 to the OVER the past couple of seasons when facing a team like Phoenix that averages 42+ rebounds per game. Play this one on San Antonio and the OVER.
