Portland at Golden State

Portland is playing on zero rest tonight, after losing at home to Phoenix just last night in a 94-91 shootout, and now the Fire have to turn around and face a Golden State team that hasn't played in over two weeks. The Valkyries are red hot, have won four straight, and already handled Portland by 17 points the last time these two teams met. Golden State's defense is the best in the league by a wide margin, allowing barely 75 points a night, which usually argues for the under, but that number was built against opponents playing with normal rest, not a Portland team dragging tired legs into the second half of a back-to-back. Fatigue shows up on defense before it shows up anywhere else, and Portland's own defense has already been one of the leakier ones in the league this season, giving up more than 91 a night. Golden State's offense, coming off two weeks of rest against a defense in that state, should get where it needs to go, and Portland's attack proved capable just last night, scoring 91 in a track meet of its own. Play the OVER tonight, and I like this number to clear with room to spare.
