Phoenix at New York

Phoenix reached the WNBA finals last season. But since upsetting the champion Aces in their opening game, winning by 33 points, the Mercury have gone 1-6. Phoenix gets a quick rematch with New York after losing, 84-74, to the Liberty this past Wednesday. This is a buy-low spot on the Mercury in revenge mode against a Liberty team that is also off to a slow start. The new coaching staff in New York has drawn fire, with the Liberty just 4-4, having lost twice to expansion Portland, and needing overtime to get past the Mystics. New York was leading the league in scoring through the first four games, but is averaging only 76 points during its past four games - all of which have gone UNDER. Superstar Alyssa Thomas is off to a strong start for Phoenix, while the Liberty has been dealing with injuries to two of its stars. Sabrina Ionescu has played in only one game, and Satou Sabally has logged fewer than four minutes during the last two games because of illness. Take the Mercury on the moneyline and the UNDER.
