Las Vegas at Toronto

Las Vegas has been the class of the WNBA most nights, and the Aces bring a strong 10-2 road record into Toronto, but this is not a team that's incapable of an off night. It showed a few days ago in a 109-75 loss to Indiana that snapped what had been a dominant stretch. The Aces should still be favored tonight, and deservedly so, but laying double-digit points against a Toronto team that's been competitive enough to sit at 10-15 in its first season as a franchise is a bigger number than the matchup supports. Getting an expansion team by 11.5 assumes a blowout is the baseline outcome rather than the exception, and Las Vegas's own recent results argue against that. A team that just got run off the floor by 34 points three days ago isn't a lock to blow out its next opponent by double digits either, and the Tempo have shown they can hang with good teams at home. Covering this number just requires Vegas to win by a normal margin rather than run away with it. Take Toronto with the points tonight.
