Las Vegas is locked into a playoff spot and still has a real shot to catch Golden State for the 2-seed, so the Aces aren't in a position to rest anyone tonight. That actually works in Seattle's favor more than it should. The Storm are 8-32 and playing out a lost season, but they play at one of the league's faster paces and have kept scoring at a respectable clip even in losses, averaging just under 83 points a night against a Las Vegas defense that gives up more than 86. Vegas scores at nearly 91 points a game itself, and neither team is built to slow the other down. Seattle is banged up, with Ezi Magbegor and Katie Lou Samuelson both out and Jordan Horston and Jade Melbourne questionable, but a shorthanded team playing at this pace tends to produce more possessions, not fewer. This total should clear on pace alone, and asking a motivated Las Vegas team to blow out a fast-playing opponent by double digits is a tougher ask than the number suggests.
