Las Vegas defeated Los Angeles 105-78 on Sunday, but the Aces still can't be trusted to cover a big spread again after they lost by 33 points to Phoenix in their season opener. The Aces shot 62 percent against the Sparks, and that is unlikely to happen in consecutive games. Los Angeles missed 22 of 31 3-pointers. Connecticut comes off an 89-82 loss to Seattle, but it was a much better showing following the Sun's 106-75 shellacking at the hands of New York two nights earlier. Aneesah Morrow led four double-figure scorers with 17 points. Connecticut is missing point guard Leila Lacan, who is finishing her season in France, but former Chicago Sky guard Hailey Van Lith was acquired near the end of training camp to fill in.
