Golden State at Minnesota

Minnesota torched Phoenix 111-77 in its Commissioner's Cup opener earlier this week, and Golden State answered with a franchise-record 18 made 3-pointers in a 95-77 rout of Portland Fire. The posted total reflects those performances. But both opponents rank among the weakest teams in the league, and those totals are noise. Golden State's identity against quality competition is entirely different — they play at one of the slowest paces in the WNBA and have held opponents to 79.6 points per game, second-best in the league this season. Their earlier head-to-head with Minnesota this year already came in well south of tonight's posted total. The market is pricing this number off two one-sided blowouts against inferior opponents.
