Golden State at Atlanta

We were on Atlanta to cover a bigger number against Washington on Thursday, and it did not work, the Dream's slide stretching to four straight losses. Golden State delivered two of those defeats already this year, both tight, and Rhyne Howard's shooting line in the rematch, two makes on sixteen attempts, was the ugliest number of the stretch. That kind of slump tends to correct rather than compound, and Angel Reese has kept producing a double-double look regardless of how the shots fall around her. Gabby Williams has had the answers for Golden State so far, but this is the third look at her in two weeks, and Atlanta's defense gets another crack at tendencies it has already seen twice. Playing this one at home changes the math more than a four-game skid suggests. I like the Dream to get right on their own floor tonight. Back Atlanta on the spread.
