Connecticut stunned the Liberty in Game 1 of the semifinals, 78-63, holding New York to its lowest scoring total of the season in a great defensive effort that all but shut down Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu. Now as what often happens in the NBA when the road team steals home-court advantage in Game 1, it is in for a letdown while the loser makes adjustments and comes out stronger in the second game.
