The Portland Fire play their first-ever WNBA regular-season game, and they get to do it at home. Like all expansion teams, Portland is a relatively unknown commodity. But one thing is for sure, the Fire will get enthusiastic home crowd support. The Sky tied Dallas for the worst record in the WNBA at 10-34 last season. Since then, the Sky have made huge roster changes, including trading Angel Reese, the league's top rebounder. Chicago went 4-18 on the road last year. The Sky are more veteran-oriented this season, adding seven-time All-Star Skylar Diggins along with Azurá Stevens and Natasha Cloud, among others. The Sky has been highly dysfunctional the past two seasons. It could take them a while to get straightened out. They had the worst defensive ranking in the league last season, but have a more mature roster this season, which should mean an improved defense. Portland is learning coach Alex Sarama's offensive system, which takes time to master. Take the Fire on the moneyline and the UNDER.
