Chicago at Phoenix

The Phoenix Mercury can score as well as any WNBA team in the league’s short history. They will always gather a following regardless of the price, as bettors love scoring teams. The problem is in the last 10 years hasn't translated well against huge pointspreads. The league has seen double-digit favorites in this league go down in a burning heap, at just 64-90 ATS since 2000. That is just 41.6% winners. The Chicago Sky is going into their fourth year in the league, and is an improved team. Last year they went to San Antonio, Seattle, and Detroit - the leagues best three home teams with a combined record of 45-6 at home, and averaged losing by 6.7 points per game. This one is an overlay, and the public is all over Phoenix, but I'm not fooled. I’m going with Chicago here.
