Atlanta at Washington

Washington needed four overtimes to get past Portland this week, a 124-123 survival act that finally pushed the Mystics to .500 on the season, with Sonia Citron scoring 32 and Kiki Iriafen adding a monster line of her own. That kind of grind can leave legs heavy, but tonight's matchup works in Washington's favor for a different reason. Atlanta just dropped its first three-game losing streak of the year, a real crack in a team that had looked like the class of the East. The Dream still has the better roster, with Angel Reese controlling the glass and Rhyne Howard providing scoring punch, and I expect them to win this one. The number is where the value sits. Washington has a habit of playing its toughest against ranked opponents at home, and six and a half points is plenty of room for a club that just proved it won't fold under pressure. Brionna Jones remains out for Atlanta, thinning an already stretched frontcourt. Take Washington and the points tonight.
