Las Vegas Aces vs Washington Mystics

Las Vegas winds up a five-game road trip here, and it has been a good one so far, losing at the defending champs (tied in the fourth quarter), but winning at Phoenix (84-81) as a +5.5 underdog and at Connecticut (86-68). They're No. 1 in the WNBA from the charity stripe (84.6%), and on a 5-3 SU/ATS run. Washington has failed to cover three in a row, losing twice, including a 79-71 defeat to Dallas as a 7.5-point favorite. They're favored but the offense is 11th in points scored, ninth in 3-point shooting, and last from the free-throw line (73.6%). Washington has failed to cover three of its last four at home, as well as its last three as a favorite. Play Las Vegas. 

Washington is 8-2 ATS the past 10 meetings with Las Vegas, which is only 5-9 ATS this season compared to 9-6 ATS for the Mystics. The Aces are playing a back-to-back after their blowout win over Connecticut last night. Washington has won two straight and four of six following its huge 68-64 victory over Minnesota as an 8.5-point underdog. The Aces have gone OVER four of its past six home games against the Mystics. Las Vegas has sailed OVER four straight Thursday games and Washington is 5-1 OVER on Thursday. The Aces have lost five of eight outright as they still are adjusting to some new personnel and the loss of Kelsey Plum to the Sparks. Washington played much better on the defensive end than in its opening loss to Connecticut, but the Mystics still came up short as they were defeated 76-74 against Golden State, which was held to 23-for-72 from the field, 7-for-36 on 3-point tries, and it went UNDER by 12.5 points. Las Vegas bounced back from a 14-point loss to New York to beat the Sun 87-62, and it stayed UNDER by seven points. The Aces have gone UNDER 12 of their past 16 games and four of their past five against Washington, which has covered four of five meetings. Las Vegas shot just 39 percent against Connecticut, but went 10-for-26 from beyond the arc. The Aces were helped by the lousy shooting by the Sun, which missed 14 of 17 3s. Las Vegas ends a three-game road trip 2,400 miles from home. It's their third road game in five days after going to Seattle and Atlanta. They're 1-2 ATS in their last three games as a double-digit favorite, including failing to cover at Atlanta in the last game. They're also 3-6 ATS in their last nine road contests. Washington is working on three days of rest after winning at Indiana as a +7 dog, 89-84. Washington is second in the WNBA in 3-point shooting.
