Las Vegas Aces vs Seattle Storm

Seattle is a .500 road team and plays its third consecutive road contest. The offense is last in the WNBA in offensive rebounding and 10th from the free-throw line, while the defense is eighth in shooting allowed and in defensive rebounding. They're 4-4 over the last eight games, losing to Atlanta (94-87) as a 4.5-point favorite, along with a 75-70 defeat to Las Vegas. Las Vegas has a winning home mark. Las Vegas is sixth in the league in scoring, third from 3-point land (35.5%), and No. 1 from the free-throw line (84.9%). They've won three of four after trouncing Los Angeles, 96-81, as A'ja Wilson had 35 points and 13 rebounds. They're on a 6-2-1 ATS run on the road in the regular season. Meanwhile, Seattle is ninth in the 13-team league in scoring, 10th from the charity stripe (74.8%), and 11th in rebounding. The defense is ninth in field goal shooting allowed (44.31%). Las Vegas needed a 3-point shot by Jewell Loyd with 1.9 seconds left to defeat Washington 75-72 as a 15-point favorite on Friday night. The Aces shot just 35 percent and went 8-for-33 from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Seattle won and covered its second in a row 77-70 over Phoenix, which scored only 26 points in the second half and the game stayed UNDER by 10 points. Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins scored 24 points apiece for the Storm, who have won 15 of their past 20 home games. Seattle jumped out to an 18-9 lead and led 65-64 after three quarters and then went cold in the fourth scoring just two points and lost 78-67 in Game 1 on Sunday. The Las Vegas defense had a lot to do with it, but the Storm will look to finish the job as they attempt to avert elimination tonight. The Storm had four double-figure scorers, but shot just 37 percent and went 4-for-16 on 3-pointers. Seattle still has won five of its past seven games and will be in desperation mode. Seattle has won five of its past six games and four of five on the road and the Storm provide a tough challenge for the Aces in the first round of the playoffs. Seattle has a lot of experience and its top four scorers, Jewell Loyd, Ezi Magbegor, Nneka Ogwumike and Skylar Diggins-Smith, combine to average 63.2 points per game. Magbegor and Loyd were rested on Thursday and the Storm still defeated Phoenix 89-70 and covered as a 2-point underdog.
