Las Vegas Aces vs New York Liberty

New York heads out on the road up 2-0 in the series. They were the best road team in the league (16-4), anchored by a defense that was third in field goal shooting allowed (42.87%), second in defensive rebounds, and third in points given up. Las Vegas was sixth in points allowed and No. 1 in defensive rebounds. They will lean on that defense at home to try and get this series turned around. Las Vegas is on a 17-7 run UNDER the total. Both meetings on this court this year went UNDER the totals set at 174.5, including by 27 points in a 79-67 New York win when they last me here. Take New York/Las Vegas UNDER the total. 

It appears Las Vegas just can't beat the Liberty this year as the Aces are 0-4 in this season's four meetings after Sunday's 87-77 win for New York. Breanna Stewart led the Liberty with 34 points and Sabrina Ionescu added 21 points as the Liberty shot 50 percent from the field and hit 8-of-19 from beyond the arc. New York's size has been a problem for the Aces all season and it will continue to be as they head into Game 2. Las Vegas is 3-9 ATS its past 12 Tuesday games and 1-9 ATS overall following an ATS loss. Five of the past six meetings have gone UNDER and Las Vegas is 8-2-1 UNDER its past 11 games. The Aces are 21-7 UNDER versus Eastern Conference foes. New York is 9-4 UNDER playing with one day of rest. Take the Liberty and the UNDER.

Las Vegas won its fourth in a row in a strange way on Friday as it scored only 26 points in the first half and trailed by 15 points at one juncture and then the Aces came back to win 72-67 on the road against Connecticut. Kelsey Plum led the Aces with 27 points and they outscored the Sun 44-29 in the second half. Las Vegas is in double revenge after losing the first two meetings with New York and the Aces have covered four of five following an ATS win. The Liberty are just 5-14 ATS their past 19 home games, 5-11 ATS overall playing with two days rest and 0-4 ATS their past four overall following a win. New York has gone OVER six of eight playing with two days rest and the Liberty have gone OVER five of their past seven Sunday games.
