Dallas Wings vs Seattle Storm

Both teams have come off blowout losses and revamped rosters this season. However, Dallas has the No. 1 pick in Paige Bueckers, and her backcourt mate, Arike Ogunbowale, comes off a career year. She was the second-leading scorer in the WNBA with 22.2 points per game and led the league in steals. Seattle has been 4-11 ATS in its past 15 road games and 2-6 ATS overall, dating back to last season. The Storm missed 17 of 20 3-point tries and shot only 33 percent overall while getting routed 81-59 at Phoenix on Saturday. They weren't much better defensively as the Mercury shot 52 percent. Dallas has split its last two games, including a 94-88 win over Minnesota as a +9 dog. They're ranked fourth from the free-throw line (80.7%) and iin rebounding. They're also second in offensive rebounding behind 6-2 Natasha Howard (15.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg), 6-7 Teaira McCowan (11.9 ppg, 7.7 rpg), and 6-4 Monique Billings (10.3 ppg, 8.5 rpg). Seattle is seventh in the 12-team league in shooting (43.4%) and 11th from 3-point land (30.6%). Dallas is in revenge mode after losing the first meeting this season 92-84 on June 13 and the Wings come off a huge win over Minnesota 94-88 on Thursday as a nine-point underdog. Arike Ogunbowale scored 23 points to lead four double-figure scorers and the Wings shot 49 percent and hit nine fo 15 3-point tries. Seattle is in a letdown situation after two big victories over Connecticut and Indiana. Dallas will look to take advantage of the scheduling advantage for the second consecutive game as it caught the Lynx two days after they won the Commissioner's Cup final. The Wings have won and covered two of the past three meetings. Dallas now has guard Odyssey Sims, who was signed on Tuesday and came off the bench to score 18 points with four assists and three steals. Seattle is favored but playing its fifth road game over the last seven contests. They got blown out in their last road game, losing 83-64 at Minnesota. They have one of the best home marks in the WNBA (4-1) but are 4-3 on the road, including another loss at Minnesota as a favorite. Seattle is 22-12 UNDER the total versus teams that shoot 76% or better from the free-throw line. While Seattle is working on one day of rest, Dallas is home after three days off. They're delighted to be home, too, after playing six of the last seven away. The offense is fifth in the WNBA in scoring, fourth in shooting (44%), and third from the charity stripe (83.6%).
