Top pick: #1a (GOODBYE CHARLIE) (3-1) - Santa Anita invadr is part of a Dan McFarland trained entry and he has separate jockeys listed on both halves. Gelding has plenty of early speed and can make his Turf Paradise debut a winning one.
2nd pick: #5 (Rich's Boy) (7-2) - Very lightly raced, he finished a much troubled third here at this level and distance on Feb. 22 in his first start since late June of 2011 at Hollywood park. He's worked since and trainer Dave Van Winkle adds blinkers.
3rd pick: #1 (Clara's Irish Boy) (3-1) - The second half of the McFarland entry, he's a debuting 4-year-old Cal.-bred with a series of fine local works on view. Barn is capable first out annd this gelding looks well-prepared.
4th pick: #2 (Radiant Rascal) (5-2) - In the fine Rarick barn and gelding finished second last out, defeating "Rich" in the process. Home-bred breaks from the rail and has blinkers added. He's in the small win mix.
