2nd pick: #3 (Shorty's Sister) (7-2) - Veteran mare has been at this 2l condition a very long time, but ships here from New Mexico off a solid effort on Oct. 6. Fits nicely with this group and she's a win candidate in her Arizona debut.
3rd pick: #2 (Epona Magica) (8-1) - She rallied to finish fourth here at this level in her first since early August at Arapahoe Park. Her local record is a fine 7-1-2-0, and Cal.-bred must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #8 (One Clever Chick) (8-1) - She's developed a bad habit of breaking slowly and it's a hard one to break. However, she still has ability and will be racing second back from a 6 1/2 month layoff. Stretch threat.
