Top pick: #5 (HER LUCKY SPIRIT) (8-5) - The probable favorite, she broke her maiden here in her local debut Oct 20. It was her first for trainer Mike Chambers and filly came right back to finish second here at this level on Nov. 8. Stalker has plenty of speed types to set up her late charge.
2nd pick: #4 (Rockin Cowgirl) (12-1) - The speed of the speed, she's been tiring badly on a regular basis but is dropping to a new low in class while running third off a pair of layoffs. I think she'll hold on much better at this tag.
3rd pick: #2 (Impeccably) (5-1) - Nicely bred filly set a quick pace and tired late to finish second here at this level going 7.5-furlongs on the turf Nov. 18. Her connections bring her back quickly, move her from grass to dirt, and shorten her up in distance.
4th pick: #8 (Rebellious Heart) (12-1) - She raced evenly here at this level after breaking slowly on Nov. 8. Virginia bred had gone 4-1-2-1 prior to that and defeated males when breaking her maiden on July 9th at Assiniboia Downs. Speed/stalker is racing second back from almost a 100-day break and can factor with an alert beginning.
