Top pick: #2 (SNOWBOUND MARQUITA) (3-1) - Speed/stalker will be cutting back a furlong and grey mare has a fine record in these abbreviated sprints (7-2-3-1). 6-year-old is in a winning barn (Bob Diodoro), has back class, and bresks just off the inside.

2nd pick: #6 (Havasu) (5-2) - Veteran was a sharp winner here facing a bit weaker on Jan. 9 in her best overall since returning from a 2 1/2 month break on Nov. 12. Mare specializes in dirt sprints and is an obvious threat if she repeats her latest "figure."

3rd pick: #1 (Skye Memo) (4-1) - Lightly-raced filly was a good-looking winner here last out at this tag and trip and was claimed that afternoon by Steve Koler for a $3000 price tag. She has the rail, plenty of back class, and is in the three-horse win mix.

4th pick: #3 (Aintnomisbehavin) (8-1) - One-run type rallied to finish second here two back, then raced evenly while widest in her latest. Could grab a minor share at a big price.
