The Bills are in a four-way tie for first place in what has become a mediocre AFC East. All four teams are tied with identical 3-3 marks through six games. The Titans perhaps saved their season with an upset win over the Steelers last week to post just their second win against four defeats. While that was a big victory, it only serves to mask the problems this Titans team faces. Chris Johnson was once considered the top back in the NFL after topping the 2,000 yard mark a couple of seasons ago, but has gained fewer than 25 yards in four of the Titans’ six games. The poor output is a product of a poor offensive line, and a suspect passing game now led by veteran Matt Hasselbeck. While Hasselbeck worked some magic last week late in the game, he still has been breakeven, accounting for four TD passes to four INTs since taking over for the injured Jake Locker. The Bills finally got something they had hoped Mario Williams would provide. Last week he recorded two sacks as the Bills team recorded five overall in a stout defensive effort vs. the Cardinals. The Bills should be able to control this game with running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller. Tennessee looked good with their backs to the wall at home last week, but on the road this team has been out-scored 106-31 in three blowouts. Mario Williams could be coming to life, and the sight of the Titans could keep the momentum going, as he has 5.5 career sacks against them in nine games. The Titans are a woeful 4-22-1 in their last 27 games after passing for over 250 yards in their previous game. Play on Buffalo.
