Racing at this level going six furlongs on the grass, she was a bit 'head strong' during the running but settled and was beaten just under a length. Trainer Todd Pletcher (32%, second time out) stretches her out in distance (27%). Home bred gets a slight edge.
2nd pick: #4 (Dooder) (9-5) - Filly by 'Flatter' sold for $260,000 here a year ago and debuts off a solid series of local works dating back to mid-May. Leading trainer Chad Brown wins at a 20% clip first out and this one looks all set for a big effort in what appears to be a two horse win mix on paper.
3rd pick: #6 (Codrington) (6-1) - She rallied to finish third sprinting here at this level Aug. 2. It was only her second start and first on the grass. Trainer Dave Donk has three wins at the meet and he brings this home bred back on a quick turnaround while stretching her out in distance.
