Colt has the rail in this abbreviated sprint (5 furlongs) and some sharp local works, including a near bullet from the gate 11 days ago. Can take this at a nice price.
2nd pick: #3 (Saratoga Snacks) - Capable when he has a good horse, trainer Gary Contessa has this colt by "Tale of the Cat" working nicely and reaches out to Ramon Dominguez for this juvenile's debut. Can be a big factor if ready.
3rd pick: #1a (The Prize Fighter) - He's part of a three horse entry from the Flying Zee Stable (with two different trainers). He finished second in his debut at Belmont July 1 and has a trio of published drills since.
