She had to try and overcome the 14-post and an extremely wide post that afternoon. This field is easier and her post is better.
2nd pick: #6 (Ben's Duchess) (3-1) - She's been freshened up since Oct. 4th when she rallied to win a G3 stakes on this surface going 6.5 furlongs. Her record on the dirt is 8-4-1-3, and she's training very fast locally for her return.
3rd pick: #2 (Hot City Girl) (4-1) - East Coast invader has won three in a row in impressive wire-to-wire style. The latest came in a $100K stakes Nov. 14th at Laurel. Filly has a fine record at this distance (4-2-1-0) and enters in career best form. Must be left in the mix.
4th pick: #10 (Finest City) (8-1) - Very lightly raced daughter of the solid 'City Zip' moves up in class and stretches out a bit in distance. Stalker fits with her best 'figures' and draws a fine outside post for her stalking style.
