Top pick: #1 (STORMIN LUTE) (9-5) - Very lightly raced 4yo by "Midnight Lute" hasn't seen action since he was an impressive maiden winner August 15 at Del Mar. Originally with Bob Baffert, he was claimed that day by Pete Miller for $20K and is working well for his return. He draws the rail and can take this if ready.

2nd pick: #2 (Maverick's Gun) (5-2) - Home-bred broke his maiden here on April 3 racing for a $20K tag, then rallied mildly while wide to check-in third of nine, beaten three lengths facing high-end starter-allowance foes a month later. His maiden win came at this trip, and that makes him the only one with a win at this seven-furlong distance.

3rd pick: #4 (I Buy Gold) (8-1) - A maiden winner here on March 14, he raced evenly a month later facing starter-allowance opposition in what was a positive effort. Drops, has a fast work on May 10 at Los Alamitos, and must be left in the mix.

4th pick: #7 (Goyan) (5-1) - He's improved since being claimed by trainer Jorge Periban for $20K on April 3. 4yo enters off a nice-looking maiden win going a mile for that tag May 11, and is cutting back a furlong in his first facing winners.
