Top pick: #1 (FASCINATING) (5-2) - She's one of two maidens entered and one of three running from the Baffert barn. Daughter of "Storm Cat" cost a whopping $1,300,000 a year ago and comes into this off a near miss at Del Mar going 7 furlongs on Aug. 31 in the G1 "Debutante." Improving sort draws the rail and is working very fast on this surface for her first on real dirt.

2nd pick: #8 (She's a Tiger) (2-1) - The field's most accomplished filly, she's gone 4-3-1-0 so far and has won a pair of stakes. Speedy runner held to defeat "Fascinating" by a 1/2 length last out in the (G1) Del Mar Debutante and has worked fast since. Obvious win candidate, and she's the only one entered with a previous win on conventional dirt (at Pleasanton on June 23rd).

3rd pick: #3 (Antiquity) (5-1) - Filly by "Pulpit" was an impressive maiden winner when debuting on Aug. 25 at Del Mar. She stalked, bid when asked, and drew off to an easy win in 1:10 flat for the 6 furlongs. Trainer John Sadler stretches her out and moves her to real dirt.

4th pick: #6 (Belle of the Fleet) (8-1) - Home-bred by "Northern Afleet" missed by a neck in her debut to a filly who won again next out, then came back two weeks later to win rather easily at Del Mar on Sept. 2. Trainer Dan Hendricks has worked her three times locally since then and appears to be the type that will like this longer distance.
