SANTA ANITA Race #3
Sunday 03/02 01:30 PM Eastern
Top pick: #6 (TIME FOR ANGIE) (2-1) - Filly enters seeking her fourth in a row, with the last pair coming here going six-furlongs. One run type comes off a career best on Feb. 9th, and draws a nice outside post at this 6.5-furlong trip.
2nd pick: #2 (South Sound) (3-1) - Dangerous rival, grey filly has excellent early speed, and last out gave "Angie" a tough fight and was only 3/4's of a length back of that runner. Reddam owned, she cost $200K, and should be involved today from start-to-finish.
3rd pick: #4 (Larocco) (9-2) - Strong finisher goes turf to dirt and drops in class for this attempt. Daughter of "Yes It's True" is in shape, has run well on dirt in the past, and is working fast.
4th pick: #5 (Exotic Behavior) (7-2) - Well-bred filly was an impressive maiden winner here at this distance on Dec. 28th. It was her first ever on real dirt, and daughter of "Giant's Causeway" was claimed that day for $30K by Simon Callaghan. She raced evenly on Feb. 9th in her first for the new barn and was within range of both "Angie" & "Sound."
