2nd pick: #9 (Blame Joe) (5-2) - He's switching from turf to dirt and takes the same big drop in claiming price as 'Clifton Beach.' Gelding had a wide trip when beaten by only 4.5 lengths on the local grass facing tougher May 26. It was his first start since Dec. 31 and first for leading trainer Peter Miller. Win candidate.
3rd pick: #6 (Liberation) (5-1) - Away slowly here at this tag going seven furlongs June 17, he did well to finish 3rd of 13. It was his first ever at this $20K tag, and veteran Marty Pedroza is getting aboard for the first time.
4th pick: #4 (Rick's Dream) (7-2) - Lightly raced 3yo chased and held to finish 2nd, two lengths clear of 'Liberation,' June 17. It was a nice step forward off his debut, and he should factor again in this spot.
