Top pick: #8 (LEFT UPPERCUT) (4-1) - Speedy mare has finished second in both starts at this tag since coming to Presque Isle from New York. Home bred is racing third back from a 5 1/2 month layoff and can take today's opener on the front end.

nd pick: #6 (Perfect Cursive) (7-2) - Lightly-raced shipper will be dropping to a new low in price and racing on a synthetic surface for the first time. Nicely bred filly raced evenly facing tougher on the Delaware turf just two weeks ago and is a win candidate in this spot.

rd pick: #3 (Goin With the Flo) (3-1) - The probable favorite, very lightly-raced filly missed by a "neck" sprinting here vs. special weights on July 24th. The figure earned towers over these, but why the big drop in class off a 7-week break. Her works at Finger Lakes are sharp and she's an obvious win candidate. Mixed signals being sent.

th pick: #1 (Our Burning Faith) (9-2) - Barn (Gerald Bennett) has had a solid meet (18 for 58) and this improving filly will be stretching out off a pair of solid efforts in sprints. Home bred has the rail and is a threat turning for home.

th pick: #2 (Annie's in Charge) (12-1) - "Annie" chased while wide and tired last out while finishing well back of "Uppercut." She had finished second in her previous pair and draws a better post this evening. Price play.
