Pittsburgh has quietly turned things around, winning four in a row. This offense is sixth in baseball in batting average and second in all of baseball in on-base percentage. They pounded out 18 hits in yesterday's 8-6 win here. Miami is favored, but has lost three in a row and has not been good in the role of favorite, 1-2 the last three times as chalk. Henderson Alvarez goes for Miami, but has had extra time off because of a hip injury. We don't know how healthy he is, how long he will go, or if the extra time off has hurt him as pitchers are creatures of habit and rhythm.
