Top pick: #7 (SLAMMIN SLEW) - Trainer Jane Cibelli had a great year at Momnmouth but has been even better with the horses she's sent here (15-7-1-3). This stalker stretches back out in distance after a pair of good efforts at this level going 6 furlongs in Jersey. Rider Elvis Trujillo is in for the mount and this son of "Flatter" is the horse to beat.
2nd pick: #3 (Hunter Jak) - Freshened-up since July 24th, when last in action he was finishing a pace-setting/pressing second here at this level. In a very good barn (Juan Vazquez) and this colt should be involved from start to finish.
3rd pick: #6 (Dilatory) - He lost his rider here on Sept. 3 when racing for a $25K tag and has since come back with a bullet half-mile work on the 10th. Has plenty of back class, early speed, and will be tough with his best.
